August Message from Chairman of LBAR, Roberto Ortiz
Happy August everyone! I truly hope this newsletter finds you and yours doing well. Even though we are still somewhat restricted in how we as REALTORS® conduct our business in the midst of COVID-19, it is good that we are once again able to conduct Open Houses. I’m sure you’re all over hearing about the disruption this virus has shifted our way of life. Therefore, as I approach my final months as LBAR Chair, I thought I would share a couple positive thoughts about my year in service.
I have come to realize that serving on the Board is an honor and it has given me the benefit of getting closer to my REALTOR® family. The connections I have made on the local, state and national levels are vast and priceless.
Being Chair, in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic, proved to me that the National Association of REALTORS® is a fluid and dynamic organization. I have witnessed that NAR not only cares about its membership but is truly an organization that cares about the Housing Industry in the United States and across the globe.
I have enjoyed participating in the LBAR Board meetings each month and collaborating with Debbie Long, LBAR CEO as well as working with Linda Majchrowicz, LBAR Administrative Assistant. I have also enjoyed hearing from both REALTOR® and Affiliate members at the monthly meetings and otherwise. My number one goal as Chair was to have an “Open Door” policy and be available when called upon.
Together we “Kept the Motor Running”!
As always, stay focused and give to RPAC. During these times we all need to give a little to keep receiving a lot from NAR, CAR and LBAR.
Stay healthy and keep doing what we all love to do.
